Centurion Minerals Ltd. (“Centurion“) has the right to earn a 100% interest in the mining and concession rights for the 3,548-hectare Limestone Gold Project (“Limestone“). Limestone maintains an exploitation license granted in 2025, and is accessible by road from Paramaribo, Suriname’s capital city. The Saramacca River transects the concession area and can also be used for transport.

Limestone is situated in the largest and most productive region of active and historic gold mining in Suriname. This region includes the Rosebel and Saramacca Gold mines operated by Zijin, which hosts a resource exceeding 6 million ounces of gold (Source: Zijin, Rosebel Mine). Active and historic exploration by Canadian companies has been active since the 1990’s in the region; Limestone is within the Saramacca mine trend and other active gold trends being developed by local mining companies.

Suriname: Regional Overview

Gold mineralization in Suriname is primarily controlled by structural and lithological factors within the Paleoproterozoic Marowijne Greenstone Belt of the prolific gold producing Guiana Shield (Source: Journal of South American Earth Sciences). The deposits are predominantly classified as orogenic gold systems formed during the Trans-Amazonian orogeny (Source: Cambridge University Press).

Suriname has two tier one mines, Rosebel, now owned by Zijin, and Merian owned by Newmont Corp. (“Newmont“), both located within the greenstone belt. The greenstone belt is underexplored. In recent years the area has experienced a surge in mineral exploration activity from companies including Founders Metals Inc., Miata Metals Corp., Greenheart Gold Inc., and Sranan Gold Corp. Greenheart has a project on the same Saramacca trend. New mines will be developed in Suriname with the expanded exploration and new exploration knowledge on mineralization controls and evolving technology.

Prior Exploration

Limestone lies within an area of historic near surface exploration, including stream sediment and auger sampling, but limited evaluation by drilling. Compilation and evaluation of historical regional exploration data from the 1990’s and early 2000’s, including geophysical surveying and soil sampling, is ongoing. The region also has a long history of small-scale mining, and the resulting outcrop exposures are very useful exploration tools that can accelerate exploration on the Project as well as aid in evaluating surrounding areas of potential interest.

Next Steps

Areas of recent small-scale mining in saprolite (weathered bedrock) are being identified in order to plan and implement the most effective ground evaluation, which can include auger sampling and trenching. Local miners have established camps that can be used by Centurion’s experienced geological crews.
